To ensure that everyone can access a referral agency during these difficult times, The Trussell Trust has recently partnered with the Citizens Advice to set up a national telephone helpline for food bank referrals within their food bank network. If you can’t afford food but are struggling to access one of our referral agencies, you can call 0808 2082138 (freephone) to speak to a trained and independent Citizens Advice agent and be assessed for a food bank voucher. This telephone line operates Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays.) Please note this number is for people who do not have enough money for food – if you are able to afford food but are unable to access it we recommend contacting your local council offices.
